This type of portrait i think is working best for you, especially the portrait of your friend in glasses at the top. Having a series of your friends and family photographed in the same way like like you have done here would be interesting to see. Perfect opportunity as well to use the studio.
I agree with what josh said,I really like the black and white pictures of your friends, especially of the girl laughing.It makes me, the viewer, want to know what she is laughing at. Keep up the good work :)
